New IIPM Research Service – Detection of Beta-Casein A1 and A2 Variants in Milk via qPCR

We hereby inform you that the Microbiological Testing Laboratory at IIPM now offers a specialized analysis to detect the presence of the gene variant encoding beta-casein A1/A2 in milk using the qPCR method.

Sample requirements:

  • raw, pasteurized, or UHT milk
  • minimum sample volume: 50 ml of milk
  • test samples can be fresh or frozen

The application of the qPCR method ensures high sensitivity and analytical precision, supporting producers in verifying the authenticity of their products and building transparent communication with consumers.
