IIPM at the 23rd Scientific Conference of Young Researchers in Olsztyn

On October 27, 2026, the 23rd Scientific Conference of Young Researchers "Food Safety and Quality" took place at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, organized in cooperation with the InLife Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN). The event provided a platform for presenting research findings, exchanging experience, and discussing current challenges in food science. Honorary patronage over the event was held by: the Marshal of the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship, the Rector of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, and the Committee on Food and Nutrition Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

At the invitation of the Organizing Committee, the inaugural keynote lecture titled "Science That Works – How Research Translates into Industrial Innovation" was delivered by Dr. Eng. Anna Kaliszewska-Suchodoła from the Dairy Industry Innovation Institute in Mrągowo.

In her presentation, she outlined the journey from research concept to commercial implementation, highlighting the importance of collaboration between science and industry. Drawing on the example of R&D projects carried out by IIPM in partnership with SM Mlekpol—focused on developing a new generation of butter enriched with MFGM components and vitamins D₃ and K₂—she demonstrated the challenges associated with translating scientific knowledge into innovative product solutions.

The conference program featured 18 papers presented by young researchers across three thematic sessions dedicated to food technology, dietetics and health, as well as food safety and quality.

The invitation extended to the IIPM representative to deliver the inaugural keynote was an honor for the Institute and an opportunity to share with young researchers our experience in conducting research of practical significance for the food processing industry.
