Dr. Aleksander Surażyński has been named the laureate of the prestigious IDF Award presented by the International Dairy Federation. The granting of this prestigious distinction was announced on September 14, 2022, during the World Dairy Summit taking place in Delhi, India. The IDF Award is a prestigious recognition bestowed upon individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development of dairying worldwide. The IDF Award Committee decided that two awards would be presented in 2022,
awarded to Professor Judith Ann Narvhus from Norway and Dr. Aleksander Surażyński from Poland.
Dr. Eng. Aleksander Surażyński is a world-renowned FAO dairy expert,
who undertook missions in various regions of the world, including Chile, Colombia, India, and Swaziland.
His research and expertise have resulted in numerous publications and 21 patents. The laureate holds a PhD degree in technical sciences in Food Technology and Dairy Science from the Agricultural University in Poznań,
and is a specialist in Milk Chemistry, Microbiology, and Dairy Technology.
In the past, he served as President and Vice President of the Polish National Committee of the International Dairy Federation and served on numerous Standing Committees of this organization.
Since 2009, he has been a Member of the Scientific Council of the Dairy Industry Innovation Institute.
